Having the experience of both selling and using the best outdoor performance materials, we had a strong idea of what we wanted our line to be made of. Searching for the right combo became an obsession and after months of testing all sorts of materials we decided to use the strong aspects of both natural and synthetic fibers to allow for the best moisture wicking and durability combo.
The premier natural fiber is Merino Wool because it is able to perform in a wide range of conditions. From hot sunny days to cold side season rides, it wicks moisture exceptionally well keeping you dry and within an optimal temperature range. Ours is a special 77% Merino Wool, 18% Nylon and 5% Spandex blend giving it the perfect performance and stretch combo. It is soft to the touch and feels great against the skin.
The synthetic material we utilized is a soft yet durable blend of 60% Polyester, 35% Rayon and 5% Nylon. We use this for our sweatshirts, tanks and t's as well as in the arms of our Merino Wool Jerseys. The shoulders and sleeve can see a lot of abuse from packs and falls, so we added durability to those areas using this fiber. It wicks well, has a great hand and is extremely durable.
Using both natural and synthetic fibers allows us to develop high-performance and durable clothing without compromise.
